I pulled some roast out of the freezer last night to start thawing them for Jerky. That is when it hit me, I have A LOT of ground left from last year. I'm thinking about getting a jerky gun and try it out. I have never made it that way. I've been told that when making it with ground meat I can't use my liquid recipe that I love so much.
Is this true? Does anyone have a good recipe for this method? Any tips toward being sucessful in this method and not screwing it up?
