I am looking for a good lightweight coat to wear for archery season. I have been looking through all of the catalog's but there are just sooo many. So I figured I would ask here to see what everyone likes since I can't test them all myself. I need something that is quiet and not bulky. It can be insulated but will be worn in temps from 50 - 75 degree's so probably something like 100-250grams thinsulate max. I would like something that is waterproof but gore-tex seems to be out of my price range for now unless it is absolutely worth it, however I really don't do much hunting in the rain. thanks in advance for any info you can give me!!!

Dudley, thanks for the offer but I need at least an XL (6'3") and wouldn't wool be alittle warm for archery??

Eric - The jacket would definitely be too small for you. You're right, it would be a tad bit warm for 70 degree days but it's a good jacket for the early morning or late afternoon hunts. Good luck this year & be safe.

Just buy a simple Legacy fleece jacket from Cabelas. They are perfect for that temp range. If it gets below 35 I add layers like another fleece vest etc.
