Hello,

I have been looking around forums for a good quality/priced recurve to get back into archery after many years. The problem I keep running into is trying to find a bow in the 20- 25 lb draw weight area that is not a kids bow. Seems like 40-50 lb is what everyone is looking for or selling, but I know I cannot pull that.

The PSE Snake was recommended to me as a good and cheap starter bow, but I dislike the grip on that bow. I am also looking for a takedown over a one piece bow for transport and storage reasons. I would like to stay under $200, a little more if it is a bow I can use for a good while.

Thank you in advance. :)

I've been recommending this one a lot lately, but i don't think you can go wrong with the samick sage, I believe it has limb in the 25lbs range, and it costs about $130. My brother started out with that bow and loves it, even plans on hunting with it this fall
