I curious to know how you guys go about buying new gear when it comes to adding base layers for the cold season. Do you buy your regular size for the base layers and one size bigger for the outer clothing?

I usually get large in base layer and large over that. The base layers fit snug to the body. My fleece outerware is also large. I did buy 3D asat suit in xl to cover everthing. I went with wool base layer by First lite. Great stuff. Warm when you need it and dosen't retain odor.

You usually want the base layers in contact with your skin to wick the moisture away from you to the outer layers. Like "muqzzzee" said the First Lite stuff is really great stuff. Starting repping for them last year and also wore it last year and it works.
