All,

I've noticed that the insert (I think it's an insert) that my stabilizer screws into is coming loose on my '05 Saber (Dyna Cam). I'm able to wiggle my stabilizer slightly when it's screwed into my bow (tightly). Anyone ever had this issue? Anyone know how the insert is anchored in this magnesium riser bow?

It's not a big deal right now. I don't think it's causing any noise. I am kinda worried that it may get worse as time goes on; what do you think? I thought about contacting Martin, but I'm not really wanting to ship my bow with the season approaching so fast. (I need to practice daily to keep my confidence high ) Is this something the rest of you would let go until season is over?

I thought I'd mention that this bow has never been dry fired or dropped. Also, I've always shot fairly heavy arrows (weighted GoldTip XT's last year approx. 520 grains and 28" MAX-4's w/125gr. heads). I don't think that vibration would've caused this.

I'd also like to add (incase this thread comes up in searches in the future) that I'm extremely happy with this bow. I bought it new in '05 and haven't had one single complaint. I still feel like I would've paid double for this bow (maybe not quite double, but dang close). This is still one of the best deals in archery today.

Thanks!!

I used some Gorilla Glue...(polyurethane based).
It will expand upon contact with moisture.

If the insert completely comes out,
then spray a mist of water into the hole,
put a generous coat of Gorilla glue on the insert,
put it back into the hole,
and then use some electrical tape
to wrap around the riser and the insert.

Wrap the electrical tape completely around the riser
to hold the insert in, because when in contact
with moisture, the polyurethane glue
expands like crazy,
and will push the insert back out.

Great gap filling properties,
and slightly flexible when fully cured.

Thanks nuts&bolts! Should I wait until it works itself all of the way out, or should I try to pull it out (by pulling on the stabilizer)? Also, do you think this would void the warranty?

Thanks again!

You can pm PUG and ask about warranty issues.

My insert popped out on my Razor X.
No biggie.

I just used some Gorilla Glue
and put it right back in.

I bought my Razor X used, so no warranty concerns.
I had Crackers modify it extensively.

I see Martin really takes care of their customers. I know they took care of me even when my bow was out of warranty.

The insert came out some on my Razor X, but it's still in there solid, so I haven't bothered with it. I don't consider it broke yet, so I'm not going to fix it yet.
