I’ve made a decision to buy a Lift X. I was contemplating going with all Mathew’s accessories-stabilizers, quiver, and rest. What are some other options that you guys are running on your Lift Xs’ as far as those 3 items? Or do you guys recommend sticking with Mathew’s equipment? Thoughts?

The stabilizers and quivers are overpriced but they fit well with the bows. TAP is the brand that comes to mind in terms of options to the Bridge Lock. I like the stabilizers because they don't have to be taken off the bow to store it or pack it, and you can experiment with the length of them by sliding them in and out. I'm not sure you'll find a tighter quiver than the low-pro, but if you don't shoot with the quiver on your bow, then I don't think the quiver matters much at all. With rests and sights, the selection of non-Mathews branded stuff is fairly unlimited. As far as rests go - for the Mathews branded QAD MX2, you can save $30 and buy the non-Mathews brand rest that says QAD on it, or go with a limb driven. As far as the sights go, the Mathews UV Slider is a good sight, sure, but in my opinion it's not a $700 sight. Dialed and HHA are my picks.

On my setup, I have the Bridge Lock stabilizers and Low Pro quiver. For a sight I have the Dialed Pruf for the time being- wish the pins were brighter in low light without the accessory light being needed. The Mathews QAD MX2 is on my bow until the Vapor Trail Victor arrives, or I decide to just hang it up with drop away rests and shoot whisker biscuit style again (which is a very real possibility). If you don't shoot high poundage, the Match strings will likely be fine. I put several hundred shots on mine with zero - ZERO - issues. I wanted some custom colors, so I have since swapped them out for some Gas strings and have been surprisingly dissatisfied. Gas is not the best option for a Mathews bow, but that's a whole other conversation. This is my first and last experience with them.

I buy the accessories based on my needs. Many times the differences are small but those differences mean a lot to me and the way I use the bow. So I will never limit myself to the items only the company that makes the bow provides. Even if the camo all matches.............lol

IMHO that screams fanboy or inexperience.........don't hate me for saying that...

I buy what I think works. Ive had 3 Mathews bows including the LIft X 33 I've picked up after a 10+ year Mathews Hiatus. Don't think I have ever bought a Mathews branded accessory, I like the bridgelock concept but not necessarily the execution. I do plan on using the bridgelock for my sight, but it'll be hard to give up the Axcel sight mount. It is just so well executed.

Agree with Mike. I love Mathews but their accessories are way overpriced. You’re paying for the name.

I use and like AAE for my stabilizers. I use a Hamskea Epsilon rest and it’s worked great in all weather. Ohio this year in 10 degree temps and have never had an issue with freezing which I do have a couple buddies say they have experienced with QAD. Can’t say I’ve seen this personally.

I did buy the Mathews low-profile quiver and I really like that one.

The new Mathews branded sight I don’t see any way you can rationalize $700. I agree with another of the comments here. HHA makes a great sight as does Spot Hogg

The Exo Limbs are def worth it. I stand that bow up all the time and shoot with them they are so light.

Hope that helps

I like and use the Mathews QAD MX2 Rest and the Mathews lowpro two piece quiver, I have an Axcel Driver bridgelock sight on order and will probably use Shrewd stabilizers.
I have used the Bridgelock stabilizers in the past and I feel like a stabilizer is a stabilizer so I don't feel like those are worth the money. Even outside of the cost I still prefer the quick detach of a regular stabilizer front and back bar.

I have a lift, and the Mathews accessories are absolutely overpriced, but once I felt a bow with their accessories, I bought said overpriced accessories.

I have the 29.5 and the shop threw in an 8” bridgelock stab, but without a back bar, it holds better with no stabilizer

I have an A bomb in the back bar hole and an s coil on front because there is no such thing as a bow that’s too quiet

their accessories make it feel almost like a bare bow, it’s pretty cool if you are like me and prefer no stabilizers. I got the 29.5 because the 33 had that mathews top heavy feel, and I didn’t like it as much (with front and back bars it would be impressive, but I never want a back bar on my hunting bows)

depends on how you like setting your bow up. I like light and low profile, and it holds surprisingly well with no stabilizer, and didn’t like how it holds with a front bar only

I also put a UV grip on it, and like it a lot, didn’t like the factory grip, and was shooting off the riser with tape, and it was alright, but the UV grip is worth the price to me
