Ordered a Mathew’s Lift 29.5 when our bow shop put in their pre order…end of October. Been told not to expect the bow before May. 7 months. They play here it is in November and the psych…you have to wait almost a year. And good luck getting a module. Amazing business model.

You may want to consider yourself lucky man. Some people have been told July and even longer for a Title or Lift bow. Not sure on the wait time for the mods, but I see people in buy/sell groups literally begging someone to post if they have the correct mod size, because these people just want to shoot their bows with the correct draw length.

Okay, so lets say its June and call it a happy medium on the lead time promises. 2.5 months to get it set up, comfortable, put a bunch of arrows through and then you are in season.

3 months later they release the 2.0 of the Lift, with bug fixes and updates?

Honest question? At this point, do you just wait for Lift X?

We have them at our shop, BUUTTT in ONE color and ONE draw length/poundage/let off. I’ve have been told if you want the earth or ambush colors with same color limbs you could possibly get them in couple of weeks. I’ve been told that special order/custom builds are the ones that will take so long. We still don’t have our mods in either, almost contemplating ordering a Title just so the shop will have one hanging around.

Mathews is 16 weeks
Hoyt is 6-8 weeks
Athens is 2-5 weeks

Those are the three I was considering. Went with an Athens Elevate. On week 1 right now. Bought a Used Vista to keep me busy till my Elevate comes

if you aren’t desperate like I was, just wait until the used market has some that pop up for sale and save some money vs buying new. I ordered an SKRE Solace camo Elevate. I haven’t found a used one on the market or even anyone who has that bow in that camo at all yet so I just chalked it up and ordered a new one. The suspense is real though lol. I can’t imagine waiting 16 weeks for a bow… in 16 weeks surely SOMETHING second hand will pop up for sale. Honestly just wait it out. Anyone that has one of them and sells it won’t have had it too long to show any major signs of wear and tear (usually) second hand bows are always a great way to save some coin. Especially if you already have accessories ready to go on it.

We have 2 on the shelf right now, but they are both demos. We still have four bows "in process" that we ordered back before launch as our pre-order. We'd have more on the shelf if people weren't buying them before they show up. At this point all but two of the bows we have ordered and are waiting on have deposits on them. And we ordered a couple today and was told it would be closer to July before they ship.

The 2025 will probably be a small upgrade, if you can even call it that, from the lift. The lift has new cams, modules, limb pockets, riser etc. The phase 4 was a v3x with 4 limbs, the v3x was a v3 with a longer ata, the v3 was a vxr with an angled cable guard, the vxr was a vertix with a longer riser and it goes on until the halon began. They all shared so many parts from one year to the next and the next bow will share most of the parts they are producing now for the lift.

The wait times they are telling people aren't accurate IMO. Whatever you were told, add 2 months. Most people that ordered in 2023 still don't have a bow.

And if you're still thinking about ordering, you may as well just put in an order for 2025 at this point 😂

So I have to question if your dealer ordered it as their preorder. If they did it's not got a June delivery time. June is what they are saying now for new orders coming in. I had 36 bows on preorder and the last bow from my preorder is actually shipping today. Most arrived in December, then a chunk in January, and last ones should be here early next week.

Actually, July is for new orders. June is for anything ordered last month. March was for orders in December. But, we still have bows that were pre-ordered back in November that we still haven't seen, and our portal still says "In Process" on those.

One big issue is that the big dealers like Lancaster and Spokane Valley got to place their pre-orders a month before the smaller dealers. So all of their orders are getting filled first. Smaller dealers (like us) who only sell about 50 Mathews bows a year got hung out to dry.

My local shop ordered 25 bows asking for literally any color they've got to stock the shop from the beginning. They also took like 20 preorders back in 2023 of specific colors/specs, in case the blind stock order didn't match what they wanted, and was told March on those. They've gotten like 3 Lifts from Mathews in total, single bow dribbles. When they call Mathews, apparently they keep saying next month for that initial batch of 25.

Clearly Mathews is playing favorites behind the scenes because some shops seem to be getting all the bows, while other shops are getting nothing. From my perspective, asking for 25 bows of ANY color and a mix of both 29s and 33s at Mathews discretion, should be a good order for Mathews to want to get out the door, but clearly they care about a handful of accounts the most. They have people buying Phase 4 bows instead because they refuse to wait, that's how ridiculous this has gotten for shops.

It's tempting to just drive 4 hours to another shop and buy one, like Lancaster for me, but I want to support my local archery shops and give them the business. After all, they're sticking their necks out buying all the stock, they're buying all of those mods, and they're the people I will interact with day to day.

Mathews made a very compelling bow this year, no doubt, but IMO they also **** the bed on execution. They changed everything on the bow, even the string/cables, and being that bold clearly caused some issues because there's no way they should be this backordered. I'm hoping those issues don't come out in the quality of the products delivered.

My shop ordered 25 bows from day 1 asking for any colors they've got to stock the shop, took like 20 preorders back in 2023 of specific colors/specs in case the preorders didn't match the exact color they wanted from the initial batch ordered... he's gotten like 3 Lifts from Mathews, and they keep saying next month for that initial batch.

Clearly Mathews is playing favorites behind the scenes because some of the higher volume shops are getting all the bows, while smaller shops are getting nothing. And it's tempting to just drive 4 hours to another shop and buy one, but I want to support my local archery shops and give them the business.
I would bet by preorders they actually ordered right at launch. Or just a few days before and were at the tail end of preorders. Next your shop can call or email their rep and they actually have assigned ETA ship dates for everything they have in order for them. Those dates are relatively accurate and usually on move by a few days to a week even months in advance.
