I might be wrong but I think people have called the longer APEX an Apex8 since Mathews came out with the Apex7 which is the shorter ATA version!!

What do you expect,they are having enough trouble getting the ones they have now out to dealers. Don't even try and tell Mathews that they have competition. They are a legend in their own minds.

I'm not sure if it is the Apex 8 or a C5 but I know an MSRP of just under $2k is fairly steep, although it may be worth it for the guys that think an 8" BH with an IBO of 325 will help you
