I'm wanting to replace my grip with a slim grip. Is there a trick to getting the factory grip off of a legacy without scratching/gouging it?

Heat up the grip with a blow dryer soften the adhesive.

The blow dryer for sure but you might have to be patient it could take a while. What are you going glue the new grip on with? I tried regular clear silcone and it did not work as good as the black silcone Mathews uses.

applying heat definitely does the trick. Last year my grip came off during a tournament. I have to admit that we were shooting in the sun at 35°C (95°Fahrenheit) but that seemed already to be enough after some time.
Anyone ever had a similar experience? I'm convinced that it's not meant to break lose at such low temperature. I used hotmelt to place it back on and never had a problem since. (In fact, due to using to much hotmelt at the bottom it gave a slightly higher grip which resulted in better scores:D )
