A used Mathews quiver…. Honestly my experience with the 29.5 is they kind of force you into their quiver if you want it tight to the bow and want to use bridgelock… if you don’t want to use bridglock just about any quiver should work, im a TightSpot airlock fan personally. I run the one piece Mathews quiver on my 29.5 though.
I have a Mathews Web HD quiver on my VXR31.5 and a Mathews Low Pro quiver on my Lift.
The Low Pro is a FAR better quiver, it sucks they are so expensive but it's a buy once cry once kinda situation. You can try something cheaper, but chances are high you won't be as satisfied with it.
I use a tight spot airlock on my 33. I refuse to shoot a qad and the low pro doesn’t really function well with the hamskea intergraded mount. It fit to close so I ended up using the dovetail attachment for my black gold sight. That said if your gonna use the qad I would just shop for used low pro quivers they really are solid.
That's what I'm thinking.......you may or may not get any benefit of a low profile quiver depending on the rest. I have a tight spot and reversed the bracket and it can go in far enough to hit the rest. Of course it was about $150 though.
Check the classifieds and also eBay. The low pro quiver for the lift is the best quiver for the lift. I was in your boat and said the same thing until I got one. The other quiver id recommend if you are dead set against the Mathews is the tight spot airlock. I have tried the trophy ridge hex light and It’s built like a tank but heavy as one too and still does not get as tight as the Mathews. And I can confirm the low pro works with a standard mounted sight. I’m running a black gold Rush and I have plenty of clearance on the side.
Use any quiver you want. I personally won't pay over $40 for one. They are only there to safely carry your broadheaded arrows into and out of the field. My choice for years are Bohnning quivers.
Not everyone hunts from a stand lol. I’ve lost more arrows to willow tangles and thick brush and tight reprod chasing elk than I care to remember. Sometimes you need quiver that’s tight to the bow and grips like my dog with a chew toy.
I bought a brand new lo pro quiver off Facebook market place for 120 bucks. So if you look long enough you can some times find a deal.
I need a second one now for the kid and am waiting until I see another deal. But the lo pro is the best quiver I have owned.
Price ANY highend quiver not just Mathews. The Hoyt's are crazy. So are the lowpro's, tight spots, and on and on. I'm currently using a cheap quiver that works ok. I will probably upgrade to a Mathews quiver in the future though.
Depending on what type hunting you do most spot and stalk out west or sitting in a ground blind or tree stand/saddle the Mathews quiver is expensive but you hardly know it’s even there shooting with it attached yiu won’t see a heavy lean to your riser with it on. Lots of good options out there depending on your shooting style with a quiver.
I just got a used lift and it came with the 4 arrow web on the claw mount. I don't dig it at all. It is tight and doesn't rattle.
Comes of easy but the distance between the hood and only gripper is like 6 inches. That leaves a whole lot of arrow to
vibrate. Plus for the size of it it is kind of heavy as well. The claw is a big chunk a aluminum. Anyway I have been looking
to buy a new one so have been scouring the net researching. If you have a need to remove the quiver I would go with one of the older smooth hooded full size Tightspots or the one piece Mathews LP. If you dont care that its fixed go with the Mathews 2 piece LP for sure. Super light, solid, and mates closest to the bow. So close everything has to be integrated to use it without spacers. Both your sight and you rest.
I have the Lift 29.5 and I use the LowPro detachable quiver. I use it because I choose to. In reality I don't shoot with a quiver on the bow so I'm not seeing the advantage of it sitting so close to the riser anyway. I could also get by with a Kwikee quiver I paid $16.99 for over 25 years ago as it's simply being removed and hung on a hook while I hunt.
My point is that you don't have to spend that much if you don't want to. I think it's the finest quiver offered but it's still an accessory and everyone has a different budget or level of importance for what they're outfitting their bow with. Go with whatever you feel most comfortable with.
I shot the 3 arrow Kwikee quiver for over 20yrs and loved it except it didn’t always hold the arrows that great. On my 29.5 I was use to always removing the quiver for the last 20yrs on my old bow but since I’ve started shooting with it on, my groups have tightened up a bit more. It helps steady the bow a lot, especially notice it on the longer shots. If it’s adjustable and you play with the different angles/front to back I’ve gotten it dialed in to where the bow wants to naturally settle perfectly on my aim point without a big long stabilizer sticking out the front
Bottom line is you need to come up with the attributes that are important to you.
Rank them from most important to least important. Do you need or want it detachable?
Is weight or being the quiver tight to the bow important to you? Utilitarian stuff.
There is also aesthetics. Is it pleasing to your eye?
Set a amount of $ you are willing to part with.
That will narrow it down some. Then research reviews on the models that meet your criteria.
The sad thing is all quivers sold should tightly hold arrows but when you grab for one give it up freely.
They should also all be dead quiet. Unfortunately that seems not to be the case.
This is where reading/watching reviews comes in.
That is how I buy from the net.
