I agree with IA Switchback. Although I loved my MQ-1 and killed lots of stuff with it, if I had not been willing to try something new, I never would have had a Q2 XL (actually 3 of them) which is probably my all time favorite as far as plain shootability. Went from that to the Switchback, which was like night and day as far as being shock free. Currently shooting a Dren and just picked up a mint condition DXT that will be my hunting bow, till I pick up a used Z7 that is!!
If you think I'm rich, think again...I upgrade to a new "to me" bow at least once a year, taking very good care of what I have to preserve good resale. Top line bows like Hoyt, Mathews and a few others actually do carry a fair resale value and the secondary market is a great place if you know how to work on your own stuff and don't have to have a warranty.
OK, all that said, if you are in love with your MQ-1 and it kills everything you point it at, keep it. Just don't go shooting any of the newer stuff and expect to not bring one home! Have fun!
