well decided to finally paper tune the outback due to some porpusing and fishtailing. now i just got the bow 3 weeks ago and had the local pro shop set it up with a mathews converible.. set it to drop away, and shooting with a loop! now when i went to the pro shop to paper tune it since they had a stand the first shots had a low left nock tear. so we moved the rest and got it to a 2 1/2 tear still down..(this is with the owner). could not get the bow to shoot bullets till about 7/8" above square which looked real dangerous, now i thought if it was a tear(down) you moved the nock down but we went drastically below square and couldnt achieve bullet holes either....now ive always tuned my bows till nowand never had issues and im stumped and i thought i would leave it to the pros to help me!!!

hopefully someone has a answer!!

thanks

i have had major problems getting clearance with the athews dropaway,do a powder test and se if you are getting contact and then go from there.also check for your idler wheel to be straight at full draw and time the dropway to come up in the 1.5 inches of your draw.if you still have issue cahnge it to a fixd rest and see how it shoots.

Paper tuning

First off, stop paper tuning the bow!!! I too was stuck on paper tuning trying to get bulet holes, but I was told to set the rest at 3/4" sight it in, and then group tune. But what I did was use Nuts & Bolts walk back tune method to get the bow centershot figured out. The bow shoots great now, this is the result of walk back tuning:
