Sorry if this has been asked, but has anyone shot the X33 at 31.5" (I know its closer to 32")? I would be 75lb, 80%, 31.5" just wondering if its got a hump and dump maxed out.

Am I the only one who shot the V3X at 33" and thought it felt incredibly heavy to draw? Felt like a battle to draw it back at 70 lbs 30.5" and I don't struggle to draw 80 lbs on most other bows.
I test shot it yesterday at 70# 29" draw. I am a 27 1/2" draw and even then I had no problems. I thought it was better than the original V3. Not sure how you can draw 80# and this felt incredibly heavy. What other bows do you draw at 80# and have no issues with doing so?

I can only assume it was the particular bow I was shooting, maybe a timing issue, strings twisted too tight, idk. It felt awful though, which I thought was strange anyway because most everyone who has reviewed it says it feels much better than what I experienced.

I was able to shoot it at 70# 85% let off at 29.5" and then at 75# too and it was your typical V3ish like draw up front but smooth. not harsh. it's def not 75# Hoyt RX5 Ultra easy but did feel better than the V3 at both draw weights. i tried it at 30.5" and 75# and it still had the same feel but to me and another guy it felt smoother at 30.5". i tried the V3X 33 at two different shops and both felt the same. i made sure both bows were tuned and timed properly before shooting.

I do want to try it again with 80% mods.

I didn't check timing or tune so that could have been it, I'll have to shoot another one and see how that goes.

You do realize he's drawing 3-1/2" longer than you and 10# more pounds? That makes a HUGE difference there fella.

I've considered that as well, but when I say it felt terrible I mean 60 lbs felt like 70 in comparison to my Revolt x and I'm a bow geek, I know the ins and outs, it was terrible. I'd like to believe it was poorly tuned or out of time, but I honestly don't think so based on how it shot. I didn't check to confirm though.

Hello fella. He drew it at 70#. He never said he drew it at 80#. I stated I drew it at 29" not at 27.5".
I also drew it with the I mods, not sure what DL that is, but 27-28 I'm sure. It still felt awful to me. It could've been the bow itself, I was just so surprised by how terrible it felt. I shot it quite a bit and actually went back a 2nd time to shoot it again.

those are my specs exactly. what kinds of speeds are you getting? I still have never shot another bow as good as my old TX-5. I'm thinking about keeping that one for 3D and TAC and maybe getting into a 33" V3X for my short range stuff.
Sorry, my shop doesn’t have a chrono and neither do I. Idk what speeds my Traverse puts out. Based on the video reviews I’ve seen, it sounds like the V3X 33 and Traverse have similar speeds though.

Just shot the 33 right next to my traverse. Both 70 turned down to 60#. V3 had 30” inch mod traverse 29.5 and felt identical. The 33 felt stiffer but much more linear. Traverse dropped into the back wall a lot more abruptly. Prefer the draw on the v3x. Both dead on the shot but the v3x even more so. Sweet bow for sure.

I just got back from my local shop to compare my current Traverse with the V3X 33. Just as a disclaimer, I did this for myself to see how the two bows felt. It was in no way a rigorous review or comparison. Just thought this may help some people decide.

The V3X was set up with just a D-loop and whisker biscuit. My Traverse has the Limbsaver quads on them, a Hamskea peep, D-loop, Mathews Integrate rest, and stabilizer quick connects on. I left the stabilizers off and left the sight off for comparison. The V3X and my Traverse were set at a DL of 27.5" and 60lbs.

The draw cycle of the V3X was almost identical to the Traverse. Just a tad stiffer, but very linear. Not like the SW cams on the V3's or the V3X 29. On those, the hump near the back end is very apparent. On the V3X 33, I did not feel any hump. The back wall was maybe a tad stiffer than the Traverse, but minimally so. The noise and hand shock were identical as far as I could tell at the close range I was shooting. So the V3X is probably a little better bare bow than the Traverse, but for me personally, it didn't make a difference and isn't a big factor for me.

The riser itself is impressively long. I would say it's about 3 inches longer than the Traverse and physically feels like a much larger bow. This may help with accuracy at the range, but there's no way I could compare when shooting at only 10ft.

I test fit my HHA Tournament sight in the V3X and it fit just fine. Very solid. I did not adjust the windage, but from the measurements I made, I would be pretty close to maxing the sight out to the right in order to get my pin to line up. Could be an issue with this particular sight. I didn't want to adjust the windage and ruin my settings, so I did not test this out.

Overall, it was a nice bow. Aesthetically pleasing, easy to shoot. However, the differences in overall experience compared to my Traverse are not big enough for me to want to upgrade. Yes, the new sight system and quiver balances everything a lot better, but the bows are still top heavy and I would run both a front and back bar. The back bar would balance out the bow for me, like on the Traverse, so this benefit isn't a game changer for me.

I also tried the V3X 29 that was kitted out with the new sight and two-piece quiver. It was very nice when it was all put together. Even had a 6" Mathews stabilizer with (I think) 1oz out front. The draw on the bow feels like the other V3's. String angle is too steep for my preference. But it is still a nice bow. Riser length is the same as the Traverse which was interesting.

Hope my experiences today help others decide. I can try to answer any questions if I can. My shop doesn't have a chrono, so I can't say anything about speeds. Interested to see what you all think after trying them too.
Nice
