If you shoot it well and like it is really all that matters. One of my good friends hunts with a Z7 extreme and kills giant bucks pretty much yearly. All in what you like. Bows have advanced some since the single cam era, but those bows are still out there hunting and guys successful with them. You don't have to have the latest and greatest.

 

Amen. Still have my old LX as my main bow. Sure there are quieter/faster/sexier but there's nothing wrong with the old bows. As long as it shoots well and you're comfortable with it go for it. I have no issues with the guys that buy the latest and greatest every year and sooner or later I'll get something new, but it's certainly not a requirement to be successful in the woods.

 

The Z7 is still an awesome bow! I just bought one because I missed it so bad. That draw cycle is butter for the 330+fps it produces! Love it!!

 

I bought a z7extreme recently and glad I did. Dialed it back in tune, put on new strings and it shoots great.

 

Nothing wrong with the Z7, good to great bow, I am in the market for one now myself. I know at least 3 guys that shoot the Z7 and love it

 

I don't understand the question fully. why would it not be a good bow anymore? deer and target faces are still the same

 

Nothing wrong with the Z7. I have an Z7 extreme that i keep as a spare and it is a complete tack driver!

Just bought a Z7 se4. My first bow in almost 30 years, so I didn't want to put a ton of money into one. I actually got the bow from an older guy who had it destrung because he couldn't physically hunt anymore. Gave him $40 for it. Took it to the local bow shop, put on a new string, like it just came out the box. After everything I've added and the new string, I have about $175 in the bow. Couldn't be happier.

 

Too each their own, I never could get along with the z7. Actually went to hoyt until the no cam came out

 

I didn't like mine either. Sold it and got a Z7 Extreme. Liked it much better.
