 I was outside during my lunch break at work shooting bare shaft into a layer target trying to tune my bow. The Maxima hunter i was shooting snapped in two pieces when it hit the target right where the camo thats on the shaft stops and the word Maxima starts!

Must have been kicking hard into a stiff target for that to happen.

I've never shot the Maxima hunters but I use the original Maximas and have never had that problem (& I've shot plenty of bare shafts).

Sorry to hear about your loss though. A lost or broken arrow is expensive these days isn't it.

There's $13 down the crapper. That's a bummer, did you hit something hard in the target, or do you think it was a defective shaft?

Ben
No didn't hit anything. I think it may have been because i made the mistake of sitting the target with the layers up and down instead of across.Didn't think it would matter GUESS I WAS WRONG!

I think...

Instead of being mad...I would feel thankful it didn't break on release. One way or another it got a crack in it. Whether it was from a slap from another arrow or someone stepped on it...it was cracked. Maxima's are good arrows. Some of the best out there.
Flex those shafts after every shot. It does not take long and the consequences are horrible. (have you seen the pictures on here)
