I am measuring 76% let off (=24% hold) on my TRX 36 with the 80%/29.5" mod (brace height @ 6.5", ATA @ 36", draw @ 71#, hold @ 17#) is anyone else experiencing this? I heard the let off wasn't entirely accurate but 4% variance seems pretty large.

Also, I have found that I have to go down from a 300spine arrow to 250spine for the bow to tune, I am assuming it is because of this lower let off?

Any thoughts on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I did a cam swap the other day, and had the same issue. First string set on a frankenbow and needed to adjust the strings a little. 65% mods yielding 61 or 62% and about 6# over max limb weight. I believe 3 twists in the string and 2 twists out of the cables got it perfect at 65% and the weight came down just a little over 2# lost about an 1/8" of draw length.

I’d add some twists to the cables and maybe twist the bow string to make up for the added DL

Mathews seems to send their bows out with only a few twists in the cables and a very taught string.
