Hi all,
I know this is an old topic, usually in the form of rage vs (fill any fixed blade herE). However, I don't want it to make it a rage debate. My question is if a fixed broadhead flies like a field point, what is advantage of using a mechanical broadhead? Are the holes really bigger than a fixed?

I find that mechanical usually flies better. I shoot the Wasp Jak Hammer. The holes are usually bigger then a fixed broadhead but it depends on which mechanical head you use. Of course it is personal preference. I would say you might get better penatration with a fixed blade or cut on contact head though.

If I wanted a 1" to 1 1/4" cut I would use my fixed heads. If I want 1 3/4" to 2 1/4" I use mechanicals.
