For me and my 65lbs and under bows I shoot fixed at elk.
For my 85-70 bows I shoot mech or fixed at elk.

ill answer th question plain and simple it don't matter get yourself a good quality head and it'll kill him if you hit him in the vitals

So was the question presented for informative purposes or entertainment value. Consensus seems to be this will offer as much or likely more in terms of entertainment value. Never had the opportunity to go after elk so Ill refrain from a serious reply as well.

There are only 2-3 different mechanicals I’d consider using for Elk, and probably 2-3 dozen different fixed I’d consider using for Elk.

This is an easy one. If you intend to kill an elk use a fixed head. You want to wound one use the mech head of your choice. No idea why so many won't answer your question.:wink:
