Finally today I figured out how use use a sd card reader on an android phone. Bought a micro sd card reader for my samsung tablet. Tried on my phone...did not work. Tried it on my buddies samsung s4 Bingo works awesome.

The key is having a phone with otg technology...which stands for "on the go" usb technology.

You would need to do some research on which phones support otg. Many of the samsung phones support it.

Many may have all ready figured this out. I just figured it out today.

Thanks for the tip. I was thinking of bringing my tablet out in the woods when checking my cameras. You gave me a better idea.
Where can i get a mini reader? That would have the micro usb that would fit in the charger spot correct?

I ordered my card reader for my Samsung Galaxy S4 from amazon for about $12. Works great

You can find them on ebay. Bought mine for $10 shipped.
