Looking at one of these two models to replace some older stands this year. Do the mounting and leveling brackets make the M50 worth the added cost over the M25?
Thanks in advance.

I have a bunch of both... where I live and hunt its mainly standard east coast hardwoods that are generally straight, and Ive never once used anything more than the bolt head under the seat that both models have to adjust the mesh seat plumbness... so with that said, no, in my eyes the M25 is just fine.

Another vote for the 50 with the hanging bracket. Both great stands, but the ease of hanging, I like the M50. I have gotten some dirt cheap m25s and will use them for the right price, but when I’m hanging them, I’m questioning whether it’s worth it. Lol

I think that the leveling system is worth it. I don't have that many straight tree's and they have knots and whatever else that can make setting a straight stand next to impossible without some kind of leveling system on my stands. I have a M50 it's a really nice stand and very easy to set because of the bracket.

I live in the Southeast so straight trees have never been a problem . I like the M25 best with the chain, but I'll hang about a month before season and leave till after season. I like the chain because I can wrap it around the tree after hanging and use a lock to lock it to the tree. I have M50 that really don't get much use. If I was looking for a setup I'd move some I'd be looking at a M7 or M60u depending on how much foot room you like on the platform.

I have 3 or 4 of the M25, 1 M50, 1 M60U and 2 M150. If you are deciding between the M25 and M50, I think the M25 is easy to hang and worth the cost savings. If you are going to spend what the M50 cost, I'd jump up to the M60U for a run and gun stand or the m150 for a more established setup. I've found the M60U for only about $20 more than the M50 and it's much lighter.

Bottom line:

Cheapest option and don't need mobility: M25
Need the most mobility and lightest option: M60U
Going to not move stand often, want the most comfort and don't mind spending a bit more: M150
