I'm looking to build my first cam and I was thinking 4 wire s40 (already have camera) with a fast yeti board but I want to go with a HPWA fresnel from sss
Is it ok to mix and match fresnels and boards?

Also if anybody has done it how far does the PIR have to be from the case.

I just did a similar build with a Yeti fast and an S600. Call Mark at Yeti and tell him that you need a custom board to work with an HWPA fresnel and they will build it for you at no extra charge. They have to stand the PIR off the board about 1/4".

The easiest way is to tell Mark like Mike says. But if you do use a stock board you will need 3/8" standoffs (same for Bigfoot, Pix, BG2, ect). The only board that I know of that you can't use a HPWA with is the XLP. I like the HPWA and use them in all my builds now.
