Good to see some folks putting thought into a climbing saddle platform. This aint it for me especially not for that price but hopefully this spurs companies to expand on this idea. The lwhc method would be it but the teethed rubber band grabs too much and the platform is loose at hunting height. Barren ridge has my attention

I agree, a well designed climber platform would be awesome. The Barren Ridge looks like one of the better ones I've seen, but I feel it's a bit expensive for what it is, and it's pretty limited on how big of a tree you can climb with it.

I tried a climber stand for the first time this year and hated it. There are plenty of trees here in south Georgia with no limbs, so that isn't an issue. I just want to hunt any tree I want, and often end up climbing trees too big around for a climber. I just started one-sticking and so far I like it a lot.

just revisiting this thread for any new ideas that might be out there now or in the works for this year.
I still wish there was a platform made that was as simple as the LWHC top method for attachment/adjustments but the platform has a center beam with attachment button and 2 tree offsets that can fold up against tree and affixed with a cam strap. In other words, climbs like the LWHC method but hunts like a stable locked on saddle platform. The lwhc method is easy to make adjustments to belt tension while climbing but not necessarily easy to climb and is hit or miss for how much play it has in it at hunting height. This has a lot to do with the very minimum/non aggressive teeth on these Lone wolf climbers.

Looks interesting. my concern is how noisy the wire lock pins will be as they move around a lot. This is the closest thing to what I have been wanting though. With the summit style cables, top stand off arm might not be needed. Can it be removed for weight/space savings? I won’t have anything to do with the saddle hunting industry pre order shenanigans though. Since the jx3 hasent worked for me, I’m shying away from saddles last few seasons as I don’t find them comfortable and use light hang on and 1 stick majority lately Which has me full circle back to summit titan climber more and more. I can’t chase “saddle hunting” gear much anymore as 1 issues solved always creates 2 more.

I am interested in the climbing platform concept for archery, but also for firearm season, especially for deer drives to get elevated quickly. Regarding your questions, it looks like everything is bolted, as long as you are not concerned about your warranty ...

Keepin an eye on Osprey. More curious as to whether they can deliver a product before season or not but slightly still interested in product. Im wondering if the flip up stand off can be removed. Also, there has to be a better alternative to using the C-pins to reduce fiddle factor but something better than summits trigger/cable bead lock that catches the lip of the tube and inevitable see the cable wrap start to shred within a few hunts.

Did they try it at a meet up or something or were they purchasers of the product? I also dont understand how they can be any more un/comfortable as any other similar standing room platform. I can see how it might be a pain walking in as it doesnt go flat like a LWHC top method and you cant really wear/purse it well, the cable will have no play and the pins will make noise. Im still gonna run the bottom of my Summit Titan climber with molle II straps as my hard framed pack, climbing method, and platform. Im am still interested in first hand account of using this device.
