Why does it seem like draw lengths are commonly longer in target bows? I wouldn't expect that my draw length changes from my hunting bow to a full target bow would I? Seems like it's rare to hear of a draw length longer than 29.5 in hunting set-ups but those are all over in target.

I know it seems a ton more common to use finger releases in target so maybe that just has a shortened distance to the d-loop so the same anchor point still requires a longer draw? Pure speculation at this point.

Target bows typically have longer axel 2 axel lengths allowing for longer draw lengths. Short hunting bows can only go so far. Your specific draw length will not change from a hunting bow to a target bow.
