I was watching a local outdoor show last night and he was fishing with a boy about 15 who had lost the use of one arm due to a mosquito bite he got while hanging a deer stand. has anyone heard of this happening before?

A co-workers wife got spinal meningitis from a mosquito bite several years ago. She had a full recovery but was laid up in the hospital for a long time.
