Has anyone here at At been on the Mossy Oak Superhunt? What are your opinions on the hunt, and would you go (or go again), if you had the opportunity?

saw it on tv again last night, man if I had the extra dough - I would go!

They could keep the "free" stuff though - just show me my stand!

Hey Brian

For that kind of dough. You could get several good trips.

Know what I mean.

Find a good lease here in the state.

The SuperHunt is pretty pricey compared to a lot of other hunts, but you do get the extra gear. It seems to appeal to the business crowd...
What you see on tv are the hunts where someone killed a deer.. A lot of folks did not!

4500 bucks to kill a deer, man you could kill a monster elk for that! But hey in Texas I know many folks who have paid more to kill a deer! Got a buddy who paid 5 grand to kill a muley in the Davis Mts about 2 weeks ago, nice deer scored 176 7/8ths, if I had a scanner Id show you guys what 5 g will get you in Texas, LOL. I saw several bucks in CO in Sept that drawfed this 5000 buck and I only paid $295, LOL, but then again Im eating tag soup this year! Ill never pay that much for a deer, Id pay it for an Elk if I had it, but hunting with theMO crew would be awesome! Hey they might film you killing a whopper adn you could make it on TV, so maybe if youd consider it a bet it wouldnt seem so pricy! LOL

I went on a superhunt last year. My brother and I both went. The hunts cost $3,000 for a bowhunt and $4,500 for a gun hunt. We had a great time and you would not believe all the equipment that you get. Everyone get a fully rigged PSE bow, forgot what kind but it shot like a shotgun, 1 dz Easton carbon arrows, LaCrosse boots, Scent Blocker outer wear, Heavy jacket and overalls, sock, long underware, Old Man Loc-on stand, bad target, G5 broadheads and practice points and much more. We added up everything that we got and we came to a total of between $1,850 and $2,000. The week that we were there was pre rut and very very warm. Be both killed a doe and passed on several small bucks. Three guys in camp missed trophy deer and 4 others shot bucks. My brother won the fourwheeler that they give away for the largest doe. The MossyOak guys are really nice and accomodating. I had a great time and would recommend it to anyone. You can get a hunt cheaper somewhere else and hunt better locations, but for the overall experience you cant beat it. This is not the hunt for you if you are after 150+ deer but they consistantly kill what I consider to be good deer.

Loc-On,

Thanks for that info. I knew that they gave away a lot of gear but didn't know how much. That sounds pretty great but I still can't spend $3000 on a whitetail hunt. If you factor in the cost of the gear the price for the hunt isn't bad though.

Thanks for all the input and info. I still haven't made my mind up yet whether or not to take another hunt or like DB said, to take the lease or just take on the MossyOak plantation. I do appreciate the help though! :)
