Looks like they are available now in the Verizon model. Moultrie has a $50 mail in rebate. Anyone have a review on the at&t model?

Tried the AT&T model a few weeks ago. Took pics for a few days, then just stopped. I went to the camera and waited for it to take a pic. Sure enough, it never did. I cycled the power switch and it looked normal, so I tried it again. It started sending pics again.

Well, it stopped sending pics again a few days later. I called Moultrie support. They tried to tell me it was a bad battery! Brand new lithium batteries and the camera had been out only about a week. Really!?

I love their app, but what good is a cell camera if it doesn't work reliably!?

I just updated my experience with the XV7000i on another thread. Sounds like there may be some common problems. Here is my posting:

"Just FYI on update on my Moultrie XV7000i. I've had trouble since putting it out in the field. It worked initially but soon quit. After 6 days the lithium batteries were dead.

Moultrie has good customer help by phone and I was able to get thru easily to folks that appear to know their stuff. They suggested that I had an SD card that was incompatible and the unit was set to a 10 second vs 30 delay and must have been trying to upload continuously wearing down the batteries. Or, there was one bad battery in the new set of 12 that also takes them out quickly.

Now, I am not sure that I buy this but I am now giving the cam one more try with a new set of lithium batteries and the recommended SD card.

Unlike my other Moultrie cams attached to their separate modems (MV2 or MV1), this camera won't save pix to the SD card - in other words, if there is a communication problem, nothing works. This cam is in my best spot and is always active so their uploading explanation may make sense but I have no proof without pix saved.

A bit frustrating - I'll keep you posted."

Last update on my XV7000i camera because I am done with it. I went out to check it out after 3 days. The second set of new lithium batteries were significantly discharged and I am assuming that is the reason why it only notified when initially set up. Nothing newer than that on the SD cards. Other cameras in the same area had a lot of action also and the XV was covering the funnel where they all go.

I should also mention that the separate Moultrie MV2 modems that are also 4G are behaving the same way. Good on initial set up but no notification after that. The cams attached to those modems still take pictures and the SD cards still capture but none are notified. Batteries are not the problem for the MV2s - they were still charged like new. Maybe the 4G technology is at the root of the problems I have experienced. I also have MV1 modems (3G) that still are working well for me but that service from Verizon is scheduled to stop at the end of this year.

Anyway, I have cancelled the service on the 4G equipment.

Over and out.

I have the At&T version. Two I have in the field and are working fine so far, there are sensitive so don't point them toward vegetation or sun (standard for all cameras). Use the SD card they recommend in manual for sure. I have had standard Duracell batteries in there for testing for 2-3 weeks and still fine. i am going to change to lithium and use the external battery during the season though. I would try the SD card they recommend and turn the delay and send picture time settings down some to see if that helps.

I just got two of them but haven't had time to get them put yet, hopefully I don't have the issues you guys have and if so hopefully they will work as a normal trail cam atleast. As I personally hate Moultrie CS and sore I'd never buy anything made by them but the $149 on sale price plus a $50 mail in rebate I could not pass them up.
