If you're looking for something a little different or were wondering about them. I was a bit skeptical as to the fit of the antler base to the skull. But a little work with the dremel and some fine tuning... turned out great IMO. Easy...clean...looks great with the snow camo pattern.

I did this one as Christmas present for pops. Its his from this season. 12 with split brows...kind of a cool rack.

The pics are from initial mounting. As you can see on the left base...its off a bit. Dremel and fine tuning took care of it. Wish j would have taken pics of the end result. I concaved the antler base as to fit right over the skull knob. Turned out very good.

This is a really neat option and camo dipping is getting cheaper all the time.

Did one too - will get a pic...grandpop's buck (Bucky) from 1976 had seen his better days, after spending 35+ years on the wall of house with two heavy smokers, he just about fell apart when we cleaned out the house after my grandpop passed. My Pop had the skull cap in the basement for some time and I wanted to do something special. I did take it to three reputable taxidermists in my immediate area, but couldn't get anyone to remount him so I went with a MM pre-fab kit. Cut the antlers off of the skull cap, spent a week getting the heavy smoke stains off the antlers and mounted it on a medium MM prefab skull and a custom distressed pine plaque.....

Pics soon...

Man, what kind of broad head were using when you shot the other 2. If you would stop shooting them in the head you could use the real skull.
Just kidding, they look great.

Thanks....

Here is me, my two children, my dad, and grandpop - I circled "bucky"...one of the last times we were together outside of a hospital.

I used one on the 6pt I shot this year (on the left, that is my first ever buck on the right). Great customer service too, I ran out of gap filler and they sent me some for free.

I took a lot of measurements while it was still on the skull because I wanted it as close to original as possible. Took some grinding/filing but it wasn't really hard work.
