I hope this is not too dumb of a question, as im still fairly new to archery, but here go's.
I just bought new sights for my bow, would it be ok to put like a little thin piece of rubber, or like gasket material between the sight and riser? Or is it just best to mount it aluminum to aluminum? Just thinking it will help with the finish on the bow, but not sure if it would effect accuarcy or not.

I mount it straight on, sight won't shift around....so it can's harm the finish.

Don't use a spacer and don't go stupid tight either, many new archers strip out the threads on something that doesn't need to be that tight. Make sure the supplied bolts are plenty long enough to catch enough threads.
