should i have my peep sight glued inplace or glue the upper thread wrap since the lower wrap is tied to stay inplace and is glued

For nyears I've served them into place with ten turns per serve, about 1/2 - 3/4" above and below. I've never had one walk on it's own, and occassionally I've needed to movev the peep for one reason or another.

Gluing makes that a tough option.

I don't want glue on my shooting string. If you serve the peep in properly it won't move. :wink:

Don't put glue on the string. I'd worry about how it reacts with the string, and weather or not it'd made it weak where it was glued, etc...


Stay away from that.


Just use some string material and tie it in. It won't move.


In fact, if you do it right, you won't be able to move the serving if you want to.

AT member "Spectre" posted up some pics of a great way to tie in your peep that is guaranteed not to move. That is the same way I have mine tied in and it it pretty much bulletproof. If I wasn't on dial up I would find it and post a link, sorry?
