Looks like Uncle Sam will be sending me to Oahu (Hickam) this coming spring. It'll be neat to go back, as I spent a few years there as a kid.

Anything an inbound hunter needs to know to make the transition easier? I plan to bring my bow of course, and also some firearms. I know I'll need to register the guns once they arrive with my household goods.

Also, are there any deadlines for special hunts I need to worry about for the upcoming season?

Thanks, bros!

Hope you like bacon:wink: Thats pretty much everything Oahu's got to offer unless you take a trip out to the Molokai, Lanai or the Big Island.

Bacon's good! Kids love it, can't give them enough to keep them happy.

Would be nice to go deer hunting, but I doubt I'll island hop for it. If (okay *when*) I miss deer hunting too much I'll fly back to Illinois for monster bucks! Or maybe back to Alaska for 'bou and moose to tide me over. :darkbeer:
