I wanted to post here officially that my time as an MK archery distributor has come to an end.

Current tariff fees for items from South Korea have made it so that i can not sell any MK Korea archery gear. The gear is being assessed a 200% tariff fee.

I and my family are moving to the Philippines in June 2026, so i will not be in the USA to facilitate US orders. I was planning to continue with MK Korea until Feb 2026, but current US tariff policy has made it soon that i expected. I thank you all for your interest in MK Korea products during my tenure with the company.

I will continue to coach internationally and give seminars. I have enjoyed the US archery community and wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you.

and i do not sell anything on Archerytalk. I may not be on the forum much in the future. I can be contacted on my facebook or instagram.

If you have been a student of mine over the years, i am still available for coaching regardless where i live. That will remain the same.

The standard tariff for items from South Korea is 10%. BUT, there is a 200% tariff on aluminum that has an unknown origin or Russian origin. The aluminum on the limb dovetail qualifies for the tariff, as well as the aluminum risers MK Korea offers.

200% is outlandish. The aluminum MK Korea uses is probably from China, but they may also access aluminum from Russia. So for the time being, i do not see how MK Korea product can be ordered affordably. $2400 for an $800 riser is just too much. I just had to refund a limbs order and refuse the package as the UPS COD was $1137.71 in addition to the invoice and shipping i had already paid.

Chris -

All the best buddy.

I'd be willing to bet the "new" tariffs will be over within the next couple of years. The tide seems to be turning, but you know what I say about the our current level of common sense ... :)

Hi Chris I just read this post, I was born and raised in the central Philippines and has been shooting since I was in grade school until I stopped to pursue my College Degree to be able to make it here in the US, my brothers and I and my dad used to do a lot of National Open Archery tournaments in the P.I and my older brothers and my dad was in the Philippine Team for a long time, they traveled to US and other Euro and Asian Countries to compete and after he (my big bro) won the SEA Games in the 90's he retired being an athlete and now focusing on grassroots coaching, with this regard, I wanted to reach out to you to say good luck for the move, the central part of PI where my bother is now, Archery and BareBow shooting is getting big in the area, hope to hear more about your move there.
