I've heard that these boots are identical so my question is one them warmer or more comfortable. I hunt in Iowa so the weather can get pretty cold and I need a reliable and warm boot for sitting in a tree stand during bow to late season muzzleloader. I've done a little looking around at the arctic shield boat blankets and saw that some folks just wear these and some hand warmers as soon as the get to their stand. Any help on what boats I should go with ? And also if the artic shields are worth buying?

I have the Woody Max and love them. I worried that the Arctic Sport would be too warm on those long walks to my stand. I just throw a hand warmer in each boot if it gets really cold.

I have the Arctic sports and the pros, the more I wear them the more I think what a waste of money it was... Feet sweat in them like no other and stay wet because they simply can't breath. And when it gets anywhere near 0 forget it your feet will freeze off if you don't have heat pacs in them.

I got the woody max. When its real cold, I will just wear sock liners and pack my heavy socks. Once in stand, I slip them off and put on the heavy socks. They go on and off effortlessly. This is my third season with them and they are holding up well. Boot blankets will help any boot

I have worn the Arctic Pros for several years. They won't keep your feet warm for late season muzzleloader in Iowa unless the temps stay around 25 degrees. I was out Tuesday morning in Iowa with an actual temperature of -18 degrees. Never even looked at the Muddy boots.

I keep hearing good stuff about the Woody Max, I have the Fieldblazers right now and they are a great early season boot. Mucks are very comfortable.

I have woody elites, if its 40 or above I do not where wool socks with them just a normal pair or my feet get too hot. If it gets below 20 I have to ware toe warmers with them. It really all depends on the wind too, 20 degress and no wind feels better then 35 with a 20 mph wind. They are very comfortable!

If you're going to be sitting in a tree or a blind in really cold weather and not spot and stalking, there's no reason not to slip your feet into one of these:

I have a buddy that swears by them. He says he keeps them in his backpack until he gets to his stand and then slips them on with a hand warmer inside near the toes.

I just faced this dilemma and bought the arctic pro on saturday for $116 out the door. Online prices are insane. The max I believe is rated to -40 and the arctic pro to -60. I wore mine out moving stuff to the shed sunday and its brutal here. My feet were very warm but I was moving. The saturday prior I wore my muck woody sports in 25 degree weather and was pretty good for a couple hours. These boots sitting side by side there is a noticeable difference.

Early season I wear muck field blazers. Late October through November muck wetlands. Late season the Arctic pros. I spray my feet with antiperspirant and wear quality merino socks. Very comfortable in all seasons and am an elevated hunter.
