I bought a 3 pk of the MX's and compared them to the 3 bld 100grn Muzzy's from last year.
From 30 yards, I decided I would rather have the 3 bld's(6 for $30.00)
The 3bld's were just as accurate for my setup. No bashing, just my 2 cents...

stealthyhunter,

If you don`t mind, please keep the "heresay" to yourself. There are plenty of people on here that have use the products in question, and will give first-hand experience. Don`t believe anything you hear, believe half of what you see, and don`t believe anything you read on the internet.

I like the MX 4s. They fly great, and they are very sharp. If it`s a Muzzy then it`s a quality product.

I bought a pack to try this year and although they shot ok, they were the worst grouping broadheads that I had. Got anything that you would like to trade for them???

They look like pretty cool heads but when I bought some to try out and found out that it was the worst flying, hardest grouping broadheads I've tried this year. I've tried grouping them and was a waste of time, couldn't get a good group (of 3 ) at 20yrds. Had them hitting lefts, rights, ups, and downs. Can't get them to group so I gave it to my neigbor and he tried them and had the same problems so he through them in the garbage.

5 Shot did a report on this head. He gave it a good report. Especially the sharpness of the blades.

I test shot them at 40 yards. Flew very well. I will be giving it some more test shots before I actually commit to hunt with it. Looks good at this point.

Bow set-up: UltraTec, fall away, FMJ arrows with helical fletched 4" feathers. Paper tuned of course.

I friend of mine just shot some for a local shop and they did great. Flew good out to 40 yards. That is as far as he tried. Shot right through 5/8" partical board at 20 yards like nothing. Stepped back to 25 yards and 3/4" partical and the broadhead stuck, but after removing it, the head was still in good shape and blew back through the 5/8" at 20. I'm not the biggest Muzzy fan, but these seemed to be pretty good heads.

In testing these were one of the worst flying heads this year.

After posting the results of the test,I was inundated with emails and Pm's telling me that the same flight error's were being seen all over the country.

Many people felt betrayed by their purchase IMO

Would you mind lending a MX4 to me ? I would trade something but I am sure you have everything I do  I would just like to see how it flies as I have seen quite a few unhappy people as well.

I would be happy to Jerry but I only had the one pack and I am not sure as any were worth keeping.

PM me your mailing address and if I do find one that is in excellent condition this afternoon I will mail it to you.

MX-4 Accuracy

The Muzzy MX-4 broadheads I'm shooting are working great. Just finished my second year hunting with these heads and I have no complaints. This year I sighted my bow to shoot them all the way out to 100 yards and was well prepared. I then had my shots nice and close at about 22 yards or less.

This year I put them on Maxima 3D Select 250's with 2" Blazer Vanes flying at 308 fps. I have taken about 14 big game animals with MX-4's and the tracking has been short and successful.

You can probably tell that I like them and have had good luck.

Good luck to you as well.

I bought a three pack and killed three deer with them. Massive blood trails on all of them, the farthest only ran about 100 yards. Nice head that flies very straight for me!

I asked a bunch of guys at the pro shop, both workers and customers, and they all said that all 4 blade broadheads tend to plane. I dont know if its true but everyone agreed that the 3 blade is great.

me and my dad have both used them and they worked awesome, they are backed by Muzzy's well known toughness and durability, they flew good for us with no planing, they bust through bone and left awesome blood trails. they have the same specs as the Slick Trick's just a little bit longer bodied shaft.

first year trying them for me.....

I shot a fork horn muley with them this year, hardly any blood, complete passthru at 43 yards. Never found the deer.....Broadhead is still intact and arrow was broke in half, snapped clean. I only found front half of arrow...It was pretty early and I didn't see where the arrow hit...
