not a monster, but a nice goat none the less.
rough scored him at about 61. not pope and young, but i didnt have much time so he was good enough.
was him and a lot of does at a waterhole as i was driving to where i usually hunt. got behind a hill and tryed to intercept em. the does walked by at a step or two over 50 yards, and i figured the buck would follow.
he did.
i misread his body a bit, thought he was quartering away a bit more, and even though i hit exactly where i wanted it, it was a bit back. usually i dont miss that, but still a decent shot. pretty good day for me, considering i worked all night the night before and went out just after i got home.
awesome, and a lot of fun.
on a side note, i also missed a nice 5x5 muley this last weekend. hit a branch about a foot in front of my bow that i thought i could get around. 2 hour stalk, and no dice. trying again today.
