i made a homemade carboard target for broadheads and i shoot into the side of the target or the face, not into the layers like a block and i am using both my g5 montecs and magnus stingers. my g5 are consistently penetrating an inch farther than my 2 blade. i know its not much but you would think the 2 blade would have less resistance than the 3 blade? and yes i only compare when i hit in a new spot on the target so i have similar comparisons. any thoughts on why its out penetrating??

More shaft to target contact with the stingers. Just a guess.

Two blade creates a slit that "pinches" the shaft as it goes in.

Three blade creates more of a triangular hole.

I wouldn't use it as a predicter of penetration on game though.
