You heard it here first, the Hanson Buck will go down this year. A buck taken from central ohio will beat him. I predict it will b a bow kill!!

You must have him all tied up!

Any guesses as to what he'll score??? I believe that eventually the B&C World Record Typical will stand at or around the 220" net mark with a gross exceeding the 230" mark. Something like the Brian Damery Buck (231 1/8") from Illinois, but clean.

All records are made to be broken IMO. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Hansen. Nice guy! Hopefully the guy that breaks the record will be equally as nice.

I got a 229ish patterned right now in the national forest. well, all I got are tracks but i can get close enough with that  .....he should net around 218, the track left by the left foot shows more depth(1.5mm) on average than the right foot showing he's got a little more on the left side..clean 7x7 with no common bases but I think the G-4 and main beam lengths are not totally symmetrical

I got a morning spot on the side of a hill overlooking a creek crossing down below(let the thermals do their job in the morning) then I got a saddle SSE of that for the afternoons....

wish me luck...JB :lie:

I really have them locations....and some tracks...but that pretty much sums up the sanity :loco:

I think it will be broken in the near future. I am not going to guess the area but with alot more people managing for bigger deer its just a matter of time. And I too think it will be done with a bow.

i think the non typical record will be toppled a dozen times before the typical record. that is because the giant typical bucks when they get the size of the hanson buck start growing non typical junk all over and they are no longer in the same category. the hanson buck would have probably been an ok non typical in one more year if you follow my thinking.

There are quite a few bucks that gross score more than the Hansen buck. It takes a bunch of symmetry to net score a world record. My guess would be the Midwest will cough one up within the next 10 years.

I think he is gonna come from Iowa.
Yes sir, I agree with Iowa or maybe Kansas. Obviously it could happen in Ohio or Illinois but I believe IA or KS has a better chance of producing the clean symetrical rack needed to nudge the All-time B&C mark.

HUH??? I say NO WAY! Dude, the B&C World Record non-typical has never really been beaten or even threatened for that matter by ANYONE! Realize that the closest any hunter has come to this mark is still nearly 25" shy of the mark!!

It's a lot more difficult to imagine a hunter tagging a buck exceeding 333 7/8" considering there's really never been a wild whitetail to walk the face of the Earth that would score higher to anyones knowledge. I guess you could consider the "MN Monarch" whose sheds were recovered several years back. With an estimated inside spread he "could" have tied or surpassed this mark but only by a mere 1/8"! Next in line is Hole-in-the-Horn scoring 328 and change. I certainly do NOT see this record easily beaten..... especially several times over while waiting for the typical mark to be dethroned.

You now swoosh that that is a very big statement right there? Any pictures or hows his rack? I don't want to know where he is. But tell us more about how wide or tall. I've seen the Hanson buck. And the deer thats going to score more will have to be identical on both sides and have incredibaly long main beams. The Hanson buck is a hell of a typical. A buck came close to beating it a few years back, but because of a drop tine on the right side, missed by a few inches. I think the buck was called The Adams buck. He was shot in saskatchewan a few 100 miles away from where the Hanson was shot.

Btw the Hanson buck was only 2.5 years old when he was taken. Imagine what he would've been like a 3.5 and at 4.5.
