I don't name them but I do number them with a sharpie. It helps me trouble shoot flyte problems. For example, my white Blazers, 2, 3 and 4 constantly fly to the point of aim which sometimes is target center. 5 and 7 have mostly good days but sometimes.............. Number 8 has a mind of it's own. I turn the nock one way or the other and it behaves for a while and then wanders off by itself? Definately short bus material. Number 6 rear ended number 1. It's still hard to talk about them

Im not trying to be mean, but why would you name your arrows???

I name all my arrows its easy to keep track of who's shootin well and who's not adds a degree of imagination and personality to a dozen arrows ...

I'm glad you gave me the idea of at least numbering them. I've had a theory that one of my arrows hates me, I will have 5 arrows nicely grouped, and then one thats quite a bit off, the reject of the group. I thought it was just me, but now its something I'm going to look into.

off subject:
realhunter101 - thats a nice avatar ;), who is that?

Its kinda fun to name your arrows.

BGhuntr12, You can number or name your arrows for reasons as described above. Me I have all white blazer vanes so I name the cock vane. Names like, Blood Thirsty, Lung Buster, etc... You get the idea.

I have done both. I usually just go with tail numbers. Before someone ask they are little sitckers that you buy with numbers already on them an you stick them right behind your cock vane. But I have found that it was easier for me to remember which arrows "acted up" when I named them.

Naming Arrows

Once an arrow has done something amazing or special it will be named. Last season I had one arrow that killed 4 grouse...thus the name "Grouch killer".

I also # my arrows for reasons mentioned above. But it is fun just imagine using an arrow that killed your biggest buck/elk/etc give it a nickname. 147" P&Y, or Spike elk 2004...etc. Gives you a special feeling every time you look at your quiver or others ask you about the names.
