Just got my HSS Last Weekend and I already love it! Makes me more focused on the hunt, and not staying as close to my tree as possible. I am trying to convince my dad to get one, but he claims that he only goes up 5-8 feet anyways.
"The climber tree stand was still up on the tree trunk, but Davis said Williams apparently had not secured the safety restraint he was wearing to the tree."
So, the guy using a climber did not put the safety rope around the tree and hook his full body harness to and move it up the tree as he climbed? Not a good decision. I climb safe - you never know when the seat rail might slip, or the platform or whatever and throw you off balance. Be safe.
