Got my 1st prairie goat and did it right here in my home state of Nebraska!
We made an hour long stalk that ended in a 40 yard belly crawl, the biggest of 3 Antelope bucks was feeding away from the other 2 and was just ahead of us!
My good friend and Stealth Archery staff shooter Jeff Moody was with me and had already taken his Antelope buck and was giving me a hand in the stalk.
I had an arrow nocked and Jeff peeked up and put his range finder on the goat.....57 yards he wispered.....I rolled up to my knees and drew my Q2XL bow!
The Antelope buck raised his head and stared straight at me.....I centered my 50 yard pin behind his shoulder and held it high just below his back!
The Goldtip 5575 with a 100 gr. Spitfire mech. vanished low in the goats chest.....he spun and ran,his head dropped lower and lower with each leap.....until he piled up not 40 yards from where I stuck him!
