Alright fellas, I need some help. I am currently trying to figure out a way to make it out of state to hunt elk with a fellow AT member. He provided me with the price of licenses and the web page so I can view all the rules and regulations and what not, and I have even gone as far as looking in to flights already.

Now, my question is, for those who have flown, how much did it cost to have the elk antlers and meat sent back via plane with you? This is the one proverbial wild card in the equation here and i am just trying to get a fee as to what it's going to cost me when it's all said and done.

Any help at all would be appreciated!!!!

Last time I elk hunted, I had the taxidermist boil the skull plate, split them, box and ship by Fedex for $65. This will be much less hassle than trying to fly with them. Have them measured for P+Y by an official scorer before spitting, a step I neglected to do. The taxidermist was an official scorer too !!!
