Need bino harness recommendations

I’m in the market for my first harness. I have a set of Bushnell binoculars and a Leopold range finder which I’d like to carry at 3d shoots and possible into the field next hunting season. I have never taken my pistol with me into the woods so I don’t feel that’s a necessity. Just a place to secure my binos and range finder and maybe some small items like Allen wrenches aspirin etc. I tried watching YouTube reviews and reading online before posting here but I was getting overwhelmed. My criteria is no chest babies, not much bounce if I’m running or jumping, and quality construction.

I am at a stage in my life where I have money to spend on my toys but I pride myself in not being a fool with my money (that’s why early retirement is on the horizon 🤩). I don’t need “what everyone else has” to be happy. If I did I’d go buy a new bow like my wife keeps telling me to do lol. So I don’t mind spending for quality but if I could keep the price tag around $125 give or take that would sure keep the wife happy 😃. I’d like to order this weekend so I can get it in time for my first 3d shoot next weekend. For what it’s worth I am 6’ tall and weigh about 185 so I am not a big man.

Only one I’ve had is a Marsupial enclosed and I love it. I practically lived in it while chasing pronghorn for the first time and have no notes. It is great. Held in place while running and scrambling, no irritation from the straps, easy to operate. It adjusted down to my size nicely which is a huge plus side for a very thin build like me.

Have a marsupial non magnetic and a Rick Young which are polar opposites. One is enclosed and the other is meant to be as light weight as possible. I like both, but obviously there are different use cases.

If I was to lose the marsupial I’d buy it again. I looked at others included kuiu and kifaru, but still came back the marsupial. Fits me well, stays solidly in place including while running and making other dynamic motions and I don’t notice it even after 9 hours. I dislike gloves so the kangaroo pocket has been nice. Adds a ton of weight but I have gotten use out of it without the actual bino harness.

Guys and gals I’ve narrowed my search down to two harnesses. Now I can’t decide between a marsupial non magnetic with a rangefinder pouch add on and a Kuiu pro with a rangefinder pouch. Non magnetic is important. I can’t seem to find the answer to this question but is Kuiu made in america or designed in America and made overseas? That’s important to me! So many say Marsupial but man the price point on the Kuiu is better and the reviews are off the charts! Help with this and please keep it between these two now. I’ve spent hours watching videos and reading on every brand recommended in this thread and these are the two that I’m liking the best.

as far as the marsupial non magnetic….they have a 2021 model on their website for a cheaper price than the new versions. Is there anything undesirable about a 2021 model?

I’m 99.9% sure that kuiu is NOT made in the USA. Not bashing, I have a lot of their clothing and love it, but it is what it is. Marsupial is made in AZ. That may be a deciding factor for you (and I also buy American when possible). I think the differences in the marsupial versions is how the sides of the lid are connected. The early model would “grab” things in the side pouches when the lid opened, the new version has contoured sides that don’t catch the side pockets.
I have not had either marsupial, but looked at them frequently. The lid design on the 2021 version didn’t appeal to me because it looked like it would catch my wind check from the side every time I opened it.

I considered the fhf models too, but like you I didn’t love the exposed sides on their early model, and the lid opens towards you (like the Agc I have, don’t love that style). The FOB and all the accessories look sexy, but it’s magnetic, and for the price I’d just get a marsupial and be done with it. FWIW, I would have gone with marsupial if I didn’t find the outdoor vision on sale.

I’ve been using a kuiu pro harness for close to five years now and have had zero issues with it. Keeps my glass secure and protected and I always found the harness comfortable. I ended up giving that to my wife and ordered a marsupial enclosed for myself. I liked the marsupial but found the harness to be constantly rubbing on my neck and uncomfortable. I ended up selling the marsupial and buying another kuiu pro harness I did keep the marsupial rangefinder pouch because the lid folds out instead of in.
