my girl friend has a spyder stinger. the original cable guard rod is Z shape bended. I notice that the tail is offset a little (i.e. if the rod is rotated in line with the riser, the cable slide will have an upward travel when she draws).

my question is:

1. is that normal?
2. if it's not, what's the disadvantage?
3. should she change another cable rod, or it still could be tuned?

I think PSE do it for reason (I compared hers to another one, same). to compensate nock travel?

your advice is highly appreciated.:)

I don't know if there is any advantage or disadvantage but both my wife's spyder and my son's spyder have the same offset (causes cable slide to move in an upward plane) on the cable guard.

It's normal. It's designed that way so that if you have it angled out away from the string, while at full draw, the added torque will not cause it to interfere with the string while it bends a little.
