How good are these bows for hunting? What about the brace height?

Great bow never did get a deer last year with it though had a couple chances. The 82nd will keep you honest on your form and expose grip and draw lenght issues. Great bow, weird how people ask about 82nd for hunting and the same question is never asked about the katera or the X force both have 6" BH

i had the 08 last year and loved it
i bought the 09 this year and cant tell ant difference in the 2 bows other than the shock suppressor
i like the 09 better
very hard shooting
no complaints at all
i kolled 6 deer last year had complete pass throughs on everyone

Fantastic for hunting. Not only is the bow quiet but man, it's fast! It's up to you what you want out of it. For 3D I'm shooting it 327 fps at 63 lbs. I took 3 deer with it this past fall, 2 in PA, 1 in IL shooting a 465 grain arrow from a 63 lb bow at 280 fps, 83.8 ftlbs of KE.....did I mention quiet. :shade:
