I regret selling my 2 ropeman 1's as I wanted all my gear to be within spec. However, the shwabisch and tender as seen in picture has been a giant nightmare to tend slack so Im going back to out of spec equipment for ease of use. I just received a kong duck but it doesnt seem to accept any of the 5 different carabiners I have. What carabiner is compatible with the kong duck as it seems it cant round the corner of any of the styles of carabiners I have. Wishing i went back to ropeman 1 but want to use this tether that is too big for rm1.

I’d definitely use the oval, I use the dmm with a little stealth and it’s worked great for me. I tried other ovals (maybe the cruzr one iirc) and I didn’t like how the duck slightly cracked opened when loaded funny on some.

Like others have said, oval carabineers are the way to go. Kong has their own carabiner that works well with it. I have used a Mad Rock carabiner with my setup as well.
The Kong Duck is a nice ascender, and can handle narrower ropes than a ropeman, the only catch being it's particular about carabiner fit.
