Hello gents I am shooting a Hoyt trykon XL I love it it shoots like a dream with field points I tried shooting some broadheads last night for the upcoming season. All should be good right? WRONG!
They were muzzy 4 blade 100 grainers with one inch cutting diameter. They were all over the place so I thought I would come home to night and shoot it threw paper to see how the arrows are comming out of the bow this was at 2:30 this afternoon, It is now 9:07 and I am out of ideas... I cannot for the life of me get the thing to shoot a bullet hole threw paper? Now Before you guys jump to conclusions thinking it is me not the bow here is what I have proven to myself and my wife and my brother it is not me. I have shot all of thier bows tonight and have gotton perfect holes 95% of the time. I am shooting a shaffer drop away rest. It is a 29 inch draw I shoot 29.5 inch arrows.
so after I moved the rest and knock every way I could think of to get it to come in. so I thought maybe my spine was off? So I have tired Easton Full Metal Jackets and axis arrows, My draw weight is set at 65 I have tried both the 340s and the 400s and every different grain tip you can think of nothing chaged?
I thought maybe it was a fletching problem so I tied some blazers, standard 4 inch and even no fletching.... Still no matter what not perfect hole So that cant be it?
I thought maybe my arrow speed was changing, so i shot it threw the crono and I was with in 3 fps with each shot on a 10 shot sting?
I tried a different arrow rest a non-dropaway type squared it up like every other bow I have ever owned and still same ****?
I checked to ensure the lims have the same amount of turns out on them.
I have tired three different types of releases.
I have taken off the grip and shot off the riser.
Nothing seems to let it shoot like other bows!
PLEASE help

Check the cam and draw stop timing. At the the top of this section is a thread titled Hoyt draw stop timing. Check everything and follow the instructions to the letter. Also, check and make sure that your fletchings have adequate clearance.

I have a Trykon too. I had timing issues right out of the box.

Yeah, like he said. Also, you will want to make sure your broadheads spin good
with no wobble. If it wobbles, BH's will be erratic.
