I figured I'd ask some experts for advice on how to put a tag on a mature buck i'd been patterning. This 10 point i've been watching in our Alfalfa fields is bigger than anything i've ever seen in the woods. I've got him figured out where he comes out of the corner of our property from the neighbor's property (who doesn't bow hunt) and cuts halfway across the field before it gets too dark. The only place to ambush him is from a group of Autumn olive bushes on the edge of the Alfalfa where I always see him next to. A likely spot for a pop-up blind. I hung my stand where I have for the past 3 years because I have harvested an 8 point there every year which is a good 200 yards away from where I've been watchin this old guy. The question is should I wait for this buck to come after the does and immature bucks I usually see or risk spooking him by placing a pop-up in between his travel route? There is only 3 days until the seaosn here in MI? What should I do?
