Need some help!

Need some help choosing a new release. Have always shot a double caliper release but I'm interested in the Scott little bitty goose which is a single. This may be a dumb question but looking at the single calipers I'm not sure how they work? (although I'm sure they do). They just look like the stationary side w/ the hook would hang up on the loop. Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks

I have a single and it works really well but when hunting I think I really like the double after holding at full draw for a while my singe has come of the loop when letting down

I don't think he means a single hook like this:


but a single swing jaw like this:


I can't imagine having any issues with any quality single caliper releases.
