All I use is the Tsc brand, it has the surfactant in it. Check the label and buy the cheapest brand possible, with the surfactant. It is all the same stuff.

I use 1qt per 25 gallons/ half acre.

But you gotta know your spray rate. Adding the water is just a carrier. For example, if you could spray fast enough you would not need to dilute, if you could go fast enough to cover an acre with a quart of undiluted chemical, you have applied one quart of chemical per acre.

Of course you can't spray that fast, so you add a volume of water. Again, water is just a carrier, if you add 1 quart to 50 gallons then drive slow enough that it's all gone over that one acre, wallah, you have still applied 1 quart of chemical per acre.

So dilution rate is not really the way to think about, you have to know what your sprayer is delivering.
If you don't know what your spray rate is, you really don't know what your coverage rate is, you're just guessing.

To figure it out, I filled up my tank with water, turned on the sprayer and found the ground speed that emptied the tank over a half acre. If I want an application rate of 1 quart per 1/2 acre, I fill the tank, dump in a quart of chemical, then I have to drive at that speed again so the tank is empty when I have driven over the entire 1/2 acre.

Hope that helps!
