One of the best options might be to try Sims Vibration Laboratories' Modular Stabilizer System. I used to shoot a Reflex Caribou, which had similar geometry to the Protec, and I had the same problems as you're having. You'll probably need 10 oz. or so to do the trick, and the SVL modular stabilizers will allow you to add weight one module at a time, until you get it right. The standard package comes with three modules, which I think weigh something like 7.4 oz., but you can get additional modules to add to it. I've got these for sale on my website (www.laurelmountainoutdoors.com) if you're interested.
