Here's a little tip. Don't spray your bows with scent away it will take the paint off. Or it did on mine at least.

Does anyone know where I can get my Razotec dipped?

yes I do know where to send one.........here is the link:

http://www.tarjac.com/index.jsp

I sent my mathews lx riser there to have it done. I am having it dipped in the new mathews camo pattern to try to be unique. I called mathews and this is who they suggested, and the guy said that tarjac use to do the dipping for mathews. I am just haveing the riser done and it cost $60 buck. I haven't got it back yet because they said they are shutting down for two weeks for Christmas, but they said it normally is a two week turn around time. Give them a call and they will help you out.

I called Hoyt and the rep told me to take the bow back to my dealer and have him ship it to them. They would then decide weather or not it is a warranty issue and if not give me a price. I'm not sure I want to go this route as it would probably take quite a bit of time to get my riser back. I also sent an e-mail to Tarjac for pricing as they are the only ones I found that have the camo pattern I want.

I am hoping that when I am able to have it done that it will be done in just a couple weeks.

You probably aren't going to get a hold of tarjac right now. Like I said they told me that they shut down for two weeks for christmas and my guess they will be down this week and open again right after new years day. They said that they normally take 2 weeks. So I would hold off till Jan. 2 or so then call them. What they will do is email you instructions. You have to print out one of the pages they send you and complete it. It is your personal info and return addy and what you want done. Then you ship up your stuff and sent your bow and that paper to them.

I was able to get ahold of someone there but according to her I needed to contact thier sales rep and she didn't know when she would be back. I would say I probably just got ahold of someone who was manning the phones. I did however e-mail the sales rep so I hope the hear back from her sometime.

I am not going be able to get it done until I get my taxes back so it will probably have to wait till at least the end of Feburary. I just hope that when I place the order it will only take a couple weeks to be finished.

archerer,

Do you know if they will strip and clean the riser of whats left of the existing camo or do they just dip over that?

I don't know if they strip it or not. I doubt it. They probably just dip right over it.

It's going to cost me about $65 to have my riser redipped by tarjac and I was told to expect to wait minimum of 2 weeks. I can't wait till I can get my riser sent off.

Oh yeah,
I asked about the process they use and here is what they told me.

Kevin,
We will strip the old finish to prepare the surface for optimal adhesion. That way we know exactly what we are dealing with. The metal will be base coated in the appropriate background color for the camo pattern you chose. The riser is then dipped in the camo, washed, dried and matte clear coat is applied.
Hope this answers all your questions.
Best Regards,
